Skin Object Question
(United States)
I love that you added the new skin objects to this release!
Where can I find out what the new logon and register skin objects are called?
I haven't played around with editing my skin, but I like the idea of using the jquery popup logon when people click on the logon link :)
Thanks!

Have a look in the look and feel section of the settings.
You can see the options in there, and use any custom jQuery call to pull the popup. Click on the help icons for an example.
We find it is easy to use a FireFox to select an item and right click to "view selected" to find the ID of a link. This can then be used to call the popup.

Hi, I posted this question to you from snowcovered as well but thought it might be good to have it on your support forum as well
could you elaborate on how to set up a skin object? like an example of the actual tag I would put onto my skin file?
Thanks
Mark

Hi Support Guys,
When we put the login id in AL module settings Skin objects section, only this particular page login skin link have ability to pop up, and when we go to different page, and click the login skin link it is redirecting to default login page, and we are expecting pop up login screen on every page when we click on the skin object, can you guys tell us is there any way to acheive this, or this is just a setting i'm missing, please guide us.
Thanks,
Kumar

Re: Skin Object Question

Unfortunately, with the popup mode on and the skin object in, the module needs to exist on every page. That is, put it on the home page, and then user the advanced settings to replicate to each page of the site. This is the only way possible for the module to run the jQuery needed for the popup.
Sorry that we could not find a more tidy way to get this result, we did look at skin hacks and a few other ideas, but nothing better than this.

We have an updated manual with the latest package. This includes the details about how to enable the skin object.
