Disabling AL's registration
(Australia)
A version or two ago, the Register link on the Advanced Login module used to send you to the default DNN registration page. Now it switches the AL module into a registration mode. Is there a way to turn off this functionality if you'd prefer to use DNN's own registration capability?

We have talked about this, and feel the easy way to do it would be to make a change to the template being used. You could for example modify the register button image to take the use directly to the URL for the DNN registration process.
or
You could do a http redirect from the template of the register template (although this may have some unexpected results).
Remember too that in the register template in the module, you can configure all number of custom fields etc, so really it is possible to have the register in the module look exactly as you like.

I have experimented with this, and tried replacing this in the default template
[login_button|class=advLogin_Button|style=float: right;]
with this sample from the configuration page:
[login_imagebutton|style=float: right;],
but that didn't work; I got a "A critical error has occurred. object reference not set to an instance of an object" message when I logged out and then went to the page. Am I missing something, like a reference to an image to display?

We have added the ability now to redirect to the default page. New version released.

Is this 45.01.32? Have downloaded and installed it, but I'm not seeing how to do this in the Configure Module (have the Register button go to the default registration page, which I believe is what you're referring to). I'm not seeing this new function in the version history either. I hope I'm not missing something obvious.

This is a function of the DNN Site settings.
