Default values on registration
(South Africa)
Is there a way to make the firstname and lastname default to the username on registration? I only want the user to fill in username, displayname, email address and password on registering.

Currently, we do not have the logic to make default first/last name. We have way to let them fill username, displayname, email address and password on registering but we do not have the way to set default value for fields.

Yes that is what I need, how do I stop firstname and surname from being required fields?

Our module. Basic settings - un-check what you don't require.
Admin / User Accounts / Manage Profile Properties - In here you set DNN properties that you don't require.
