Can't get the roles to work in trial
(United States)
First off, awesome module! I have a site where I offer 3 packages. I'm using Buy Now to give my customers a choice of a 1-week, 1-month, or 1-year subscription for a single payment. I can get to PayPal, make a payment and get returned to the site upon successful completion. However, I was assuming that the module would assign the custom role "subscriber" to the new customer and set the role to expire after the time period they purchased (all of which I configured in the module settings). Am I missing something or does the module just not perform those actions? I am using DNN 6.00.01 and Subscription Module 45.06.01 in trial mode.

I think, you are describing the correct function.
Subscription and role, tab allows you to define that the module works in "Buy Now" mode, and that the role, or roles will be added to that user for a defined period of time.
Remember that in DNN it is possible too to auto assign roles, based on the role settings. So make sure there is no conflict with the role settings.
As the module adds a user to the role, it will expire based on the setting configured in the "Subscriptions and Role" tab.
If in doubt, configure a totally new role and set it up in that tab to see what happens.

Thanks, that was the problem. I had created the Subscribers role, but had it set to a "Public" role. As soon as I unchecked that, it worked perfectly. Thanks again.
