We are always keen to add features to our products. Please suggest any features you would like to see included in our Feedback Designer

Re: Features  (United States)
1) Currently, when using the checkbox list or radio button list, all items are listed in a single column. Would like the ability to put items into multi columns. 2) Need the ability to put in a divider between elements. You can put an HR tag in as a label field, but it will only stretch as far as the ITEMNAME field.

Re: Features  (United States)
Could you add Attachments as a feature?  We'd love to use this for people applying for jobs.

Thanks!

Re: Features  (Germany)
Hi,

this woulkd be necessary features:

- In the checkbox list choose a preselected one or more  item ("checked")
- in the radio button list same as above - preselecting one item
- muliple to and bcc recipients- in look and feel, it would be nice to have to option to use simple buttons instead of text or an image because buttons buttons can be easily styled with CSS

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Multiple recipients is already in there.

text or image buttons are in the latest versions. See the history and features here.

under the help area.

We will look to include your other suggestions - we are working on a date field and calendar now.

Re: Features  (Germany)
Hi,

currently you can add multiple recipients, yes. But if you hide the recipients drop down, it only sends the mail to the first recipient. I'd like to have the option to hide the recipients drop down AND send to multiple recipients!

I know that image and text buttons are in the latest version, thats cool. What I need are normal buttons, that means <input type=button>
This is currently not possible.

Thanks in advance.

Currently, you can BCC to an email address under the Modify Email Settings administration screen. Perhaps this can serve your purposes for now?

Re: Features  (New Zealand)
I've had this installed now for a while now and a few features definitely come to mind. A couple have already been suggested...
  • Allow for one item to be preselected in input types that allow it, such as radio buttons.
  • Allow individual entries saved in the database to be deleted, not just the whole lot at once.
  • Allow sizes of text fields and text areas to be specified per item, not just all in one go.
  • Allow horizontal display or multiple columns for inputs that allow it such as check boxes and radio buttons
The length of my forms is definitely a problem and this could be greatly alleviated if check boxes and radio buttons could go horizontal. Also, being able to have one large text area and several small text areas would also assist, when currently the largest area needed determines the size of all of them.

I like the idea of an attachment upload.. that would definitely come in handy. It would need to somehow be tied to the display of items saved to the database, or perhaps it could even email the attachments out along with the form results.

Not a biggie, but I have also needed to be able to display text underneath the form. I would have put this in a text module, but I'm using the module inside a tabbed content module and they only allow one module per tab.

It's a good module and I've been recommending it for people looking for something inbetween a contact form and a full blown form designer.

Regards
Rob

I'd like to see some sort of option that allows you to retain field content if a user navigates away froma  page accidently or the form sumbission times out.

I'd love to see a captcha option with this module. This protects the client from getting an email-bot and getting a bunch of spam emails.

Re: Features  (United States)
This is a great module, but there are several features that need to be added in order to support complex forms:

The ability to define look and feel on a line-by-line basis. There are some items that I'd like to display side-by-side, because they are related questions. In the same form, I need to be able to place a label that spans the width of the form so that I can provide separate one set of questions from another set of questions, or to be able to provide additional information for a set of questions to follow.

The ability to display multiple instances of the same item. Sometimes, it is necessary to ask a user to list a number of items that have multiple attributes. For example, an inventory list that requires you to enter a quantity, an item number or SKU, a description, and, perhaps, other attributes such as color, size, weight, etc. In a form where the number of items listed is finite, it is easily worked around. But in a form where the number of items cannot be pre-determined, this is currently not possible with the current feature set.

The ability to display (or not display) an item based on the response to a previous question. Sometimes you need to include an item that only displays when a previous question is answered a certain way. Or you need to require an item only if a previous question is answered a certain way. There needs to be a way to express a dependency between two items.

Thanks for considering these features. I look forward to being able to use them.

Hi,

Could you implement the "Built in Help" features into Feedback Designer like you have in the Contact Details module?

Built In Help The module contains help icons that actually contain helpful information. Imagine that! This assists users who are not programmers and don’t want to be.

This would be a great addition.
Thanks

Re: Features  (Australia)
Ivan, Feedback designer was designed for DNN versions before the current one. This is why the help data is not in little hover boxes. But the help is still on the page.

Auto Reply Email Settings
Here you can configure what the Auto Reply email content is (html is permitted however be sure to fully specify the URL to any image locations etc..). If this section is left blank, the Auto Reply email WILL NOT be sent.

Add a new form item
Type in a name for the item in the box below and select what type of item it will be from the list, then click Add.

There is also a help document that is in the download package on our site. This 36 pages long and covers things that are not on the page.

Thanks for your question thought.

Re: Features  (United States)
I would like to send to the user submitting the form the contents (so they can verify what was submitted) without having to check the Send Copy box.  Because they get two emails plus it makes them have to do something.  If the reply email could be configured with
[ITEMNAME] [ITEM]

Then I can send one customized email.  With this feature I would buy additional modules for my other web sites.

Unfortunately at this time, this is not a feature of this module and we have no plans to introduce it just at the moment. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Re: Features  (Switzerland)
It would be nice to have a bit of control / deffered loading of the scripts and css of this module.
If you check a page with http://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/ you will see that CFD is one of the main issues on page speed..
