Plaxo add-in cannot find contacts in Contact folder
(Canada)
When clicking on "Add from my address book" in "Send a Bulk Email", the Plaxo add-in comes up, lists my Contacts folder, but says "You have no contacts in this folder". Yet I do. If I try to add a contact in the Plaxo window, it seems to add it, but then when I click "Next" it never gets to the next screen. I am using Outlook 2007.
Any ideas on how to get this to work? Thanks.

This third party adding is kind of a clunky solution. We have found the best results are in IE. Where it will install an active X plug in to capture your outlook contacts.
Of you do not use IE, then you have to export a .csv file with your contacts in it. Then reference that file in a folder location. it sounds like this is the mode you are in.
Even with the IE active x plug in, the process will throw and https error. The magic answer it NO - do not display the insecure content, and the adding appears to work. If you say, YES do display secure and non secure content. (as you would expect) the thing just sits there doing nothing.

I'm using IE and Outlook 2007. I said "NO" and it still just sat there. I'm also having problems importing the CSV file properly. If I use XLS then it goes fine. I notice you use an XLS as your demo file, instead of a CSV. I'm thinking the Display Name doesn't get imported in the CSV because Outlook may not export the double name (first and last) with the space properly, perhaps missing the quotes or some such problem.
Anyway, it seems best to export to xls to get it to work.

Thanks for the info. We are reviewing if we even keep the feature as it is a little buggy and out of our control to do anything about it.
