Sending double mails in dual-server setup
(Netherlands)
I have a dotnetnuke portal in server farm setup, and the bulk emailer is sending every mail double
In the host scheduler I see every schedule from iWebs double, so I tried disabling one and setting the other to run only on one server, but the module keeps enabling the second schedule. How can I set this so that only one schedule is active?

Actually sounds like the farm may not be setup correctly.
How many application pools can run at one time on the site?

The site is running on an dedicated application pool, with one Worker Process.
ASP.NET version 4.0, Classic Pipeline Mode and 32 bits enabled.

Please get the latest version, because that is good practice, however it is not likely to solve this.
It sounds like you have multi threads running on the DNN site.
There is a post here that talks about multi thread
http://www.packtpub.com/article/under...
Please try setting the:
maxThreads
: This sets the maximum number of thread-pool threads to be used by the scheduler (
1-10
). Setting it to
-1
tells the scheduler to determine this on its own.
Change it to 1 and report to us the result.

Upgrading to version 6 is something I can't do right now, but I checked the web.config.
It is already set to 1 thread:
<add name="DNNScheduler" type="DotNetNuke.Services.Scheduling.DNNScheduling.DNNScheduler, DotNetNuke.DNNScheduler" providerPath="~\Providers\SchedulingProviders\DNNScheduler\" debug="false" maxThreads="1" />

Can you contact us with host login details using our contact us page. We can then take a look and see if we can work out the issue.
Please make reference to the URL of this thread, so we can track this conversation.

We have identified the issue. It relates to an automatic feature of the module. The feature automatically enables the Bulk Emailer scheduler if not enabled as a way to ensure (mostly in earlier versions off DNN) that when the module is added to a site it is in a condition to run.
We will add a feature in the options that will turn this feature off. In turn you will be able to disable one of the scheduler processes on the host settings. This should resolve the issue.

Great! Thanks for the fix.
The scheduler is not automatically enabling now, I will monitor the next bulk mail to see what happens.
