Email template limit and token styling
(Slovenia)
Hello,
we posted this Ticket at http://store.dotnetnuke.com/ and we got a response below so we are posting this issue to your support system:
Would you mind submitting this on our support system at our website.
www.interactivewebs.com
- clicking on the support tab on the left.
This is a complex question and we want to handle it with out dev team.
We also provided host login information and other important information in that ticket.
Original message:
we have a problem with OptIn Email Template window (below)
Email Template:
This is the text that is sent in an e-mail to people who request subscription to defined e-mail lists.
Tokens are: [FirstName], [LastName] , [SubscribeUrl], [DisplayName]
1. When we paste in HTML for users to validate their subscription everything seems to work fine. But later, after updating settings and testing new template, we don't get full template, but only a part of it. (Picture template.jpg). So we wonder if there is a certain limitation of characters in template and where could we extend the number of characters in template? It is very important for our customer to have the whole text in a template.
2. Is there any chance to stylize the [unsubscribe - here] token? We managed to stylize the "here" token for subscription in translations (Picture Token.jpg), but there seems no way to be able to stylize the unsubscribe token.
Greetings from Slovenia

SQL 2000 has some limits, and this can be improved with later SQL versions. Believe the 2000 kb limit is caused likely by this.

Hello
Which limit exactly are you referring to? Database server is MS SQL 2005, so this cannot be the issue here.
Please provide a solution, we are going to production soon and we need this fixed if we are to use your product.
Thank you.
