Where can i localize the text "here" for the unsubscribe-here token to the german word "hier".

Actually it already supports  [unsubscribe-anything]   so you can put unsubscribe-hier and it will work fine.

There is a problem with this pattern when using .doc or .mht messages.
 
If the text of "here" is in right-to-left language then the localized word for "here" is broken into additional HTML tag/s -
nothing is renderd since the [unsubscribe-XXX] tag is broken into several HTML tags.
 
I would suggest another pattern [unsubscribe] (without-XXX) and the content of XXX will be taken from the module's SharedResources.resx localization file.
i.e: "Unsubscibe.Text" key.

I would like to refine my suggestion to :
 
[unsubscribe:en-au]
 
Since the schedualed task has no language context -  the [unsubscribe] token must contain the language info.
 
The content of the will be taken from SharedResoureces.en-au.resx

The language is defined inside the [unsubscibe...] token in the message.
 
Currently the "here" is taken from [unsubscribe-here].
 
I suggest to take it from the resource file.
 
The language is defined in a similar way inside [unsubscribe:EN-AU]

But if I send an email to 10,000 there will be a range of languages among the recipients.  So what language would I write down in that situation?

I don't care about the recipient's language.
 
I write a messege in ZULU language - so the "here" will be in ZULU.
 
The token is per message - not per user.

I already know about the existing method.
 
The problem is with NONE english/french/... languages.
 
When writing in right-to-left language in ms-word - the stream of characters is broken into several tags - so it will not match the [unsubscibe-...] pattern.
 
It will  look like: <span>[unsubsribe-</span><span dir='rtl'>KKK</span><span>]</span>.
 
Is it clear now  ?

We feel dumb, but we cannot understand why it would not work. From what we see and test, it should be fine.
 
Can you provide us with a site login (using our contact us form) to provide host login, and a sample email message with the code that does not work.
 
All we can think of is that the HTML has a line break etc in the code. This is not permitted.

Please try the sending following MHT file:
 

The [unsubscibe-xxx] is at the bottom left corner.
 
It was edited using MS-WORD.
 
If you open it in a text editor you will see the broken [unsubscribe] token
 
This behaviour (of MS-WORD) is by design and not my wrong typing.

Can you get a blank MS word document with not text formatting.
 
Then type just the unsubscribe token into the document, ensuring that you have no MS word formatting of text.
 
Then try sending that. Let us know if it works. I am suspecting that the formatting of the text is mucking this one up.

There is something that you are missing.
 
In order to write text in none LTR language I have to change the writing direction to RTL in word.
 
The changing of the language/writing direction inserts the additional formating info.
 
There is NO clean option as you suggest.
 
 
In pure HTML it works fine. I can put a dir='rtl' attribute and all is OK.
 
It not the same in MHT.
This is the reasone I started this thread.

Not certain then that we are going to be able to help you. The obvious solution would be.
 
1. Use HTML
2. Manually edit the word mthml to remove the incorrect text.
3. Don't format it right to left, but leave that one line in the MS word default.
4. If point 4 works, then try it with a right justify.

1. Using MHT gives me the option to have templates. This option is missing in the module.
2. This is not an option for my end user.
3. It is not possible when writting RTL in WORD.
 
The is a 5th option:
 
To put the localized word/s inside the RESX file and specify the language as I suggested like
 
[unsubscribe:he-IL]
 
This will solve the problem for all RTL languages and is very easy to implement.

I came up with another idea:
 
 
The token has only [unsubscribe] that will be translated my the module to the url.
 
The MHT contains a link with the localized text and the address is [unsubscribe]
 
The is no need for RESX files etc...

I did not say it worked. I suggested a solution.
 
Currently your module generated a link with a caption of "here" and a href to the modules URL.
 
My suggestion is that if there is no "-here" inside to [unsubscibe] token your module will only generate the URL - without the wrapping <a href...> tag.
 
This way I can create a link with any caption and get the href from the token [unscubscribe].
 
I hope you understand my suggestion now.

We have done some more research, and believe that the error should only be there when using either MHTML or HTML created in word.
 
We suggest using correctly formatted HTML to resolve this issue.
