Send out same campaign again after failures
(South Africa)
Hi,
I recently purchased the Bulk Emailer module and have sent my first batch of emails. However this was to 2000 users in my db and the problem I have is that my SMTP server only allows 400 mails per day. So the rest of my messages (1600) going out failed and displayed an error after 380 emails were successfully sent, would like to send out the same campaign again. I do not see any functionality for this and if I go through the Send Bulk Email option, this will send the emails again to the same people that have received the mail and I do not want to be spammed. Please can someone assist me as this is a matter of urgency and need to send out my mail asap. Thank you.

Hi there. Actually we have not currently got a method of re-submitting a previous job. The intent of the module is to have it configured so that it sends, not fails.
You can control how many messages are sent a day. Details are in the manual.
or
You can also use multiple SMTP servers and limit the amount of messages sent to each. (also see the manual).
We actually had not thought to include a way to re-send the same job with failed attempts as if you have the correct settings you should not get failures. We will think about options here, but if we include an option it will be a couple of weeks minimum.
