Inserting Images Using Editor
(United States)
Hello,
When we are creating newsletters and sending through the bulk emailer we are running into problems with the images that are inserted through the editor. These images have paths such as /portals/0/whatever/whatever instead of the full path such as http://www.laplayamaya.com/portals/0/whatever/whatever. Is there a setting somewhere in DNN or in the editor being used for the bulk emailer that will put full paths to the images that are inserted through the editor? It would be easy enough to go into the code and change them, but not very intuitive and more difficult for our clients who know nothingt about code.
Thanks
James

That is a function of the Text/HTML browser of your website.
We actually suggest you create the HTML in something like Dreamweaver. Then just paste it into the browser. Or use the word send method.
This actually is the exact reason we created the ability to send messages created in Word. It includes the images.
That all being said, all you have to do to fix this is after creating your email with the normal text/html editor of your site, is change to HTML view and change the relative URLS to the full path.
