Saving Campaigns to Re-Edit or Re-Send
(United States)
I just purchased Bulk E-Mailer and I'm working with someone who is very familiar with other Bulk E-Mail Applications and the first thing he told me is that when you go into the Campaign Editor there is no way to Save your current work and come back and revise it later.
I guess it would be possible to create Campaigns under the Recurring Campaign Management section but the problem there is there doesn't seem to be a way to Disable the Camapaign so we could come back and run it whenever we want to. I guess we could set the run time 1 Year out and hope we don't forget about it, but that doesn't seem very practical if we get a bunch of not so savy users involved.
How about bringing the Save / Update Campaign Button over to the Send a Bulk E-Mail Campaign Page?
Any hope of getting a solution to this in a timely manner, without this were kind of dead in the water because of the nature of the Campiagns that are going to be setup and ran on our system. I uninstalled Axon to move over to your product hoping it would have everything Axon had and more. Overall I'm extremely happy with the Interface and Features, it would just be nice if we could Save Individual Campaigns.
Thank You in advance.
P.S. How about Bulk SMS Messaging being added in for a Future Release?

Thanks for the feedback. These are great suggestions, and are something we have planned for release soon.
We have actually been working with SMS messaging for certain clients, and have been thinking about how to implement it into the module. One problem we have is that DNN does not clearly match a country code against profile data, and countries have different ways of entering data as a user in that country. For example, a mobile in Australia is 0409 123 123 yet to send it to a gateway we would need it to be sent as: +61409123123
Users may have entered it as: 610409123123, +610409123123, 0409123123, 09123123 depending on how they think it should be entered. So in effect we would have to work out for all major mobile companies in major countries all the stupid things that users may enter and work out code that twists half valid data into really valid data.
My point being, we would get no end of complaints from people no matter what we do here. This has been the thing that has stopped us to date. Much easier when you have a client in one country and you say "All your numbers must be like this or they will not be sent" then ensure that user registrations are done to match this format.

Thanks for the quick reply. The ability to Save and Edit individual Campaigns is much more of a priority to us than SMS. Any idea how long approx. it will be until a release with this feature is available. Thanks

Sorry, can't say as we are moving slowly on this one as we improve the UI with it.

Another feature that might be useful would be to limit a Users Access to the various Menu Selections / Sub-Features of the Module using DNN Roles.

We have pans for this one. Probably as a separate module.
