I am trialling the current release of Bulk Emailer by sending Preview e-mails to myself. In all cases Bulk Emailer tells me it has sent the e-mail ("A preview e-mail was sent to you"). But if my e-mail contains more than two occurrences of nested spans, the e-mail is not actually sent (to be precise, no e-mail arrives at my e-mail client). For example, this e-mail is sent:
<p> <span style="font-weight: bold;">plan</span><span style="color: #82C42E;">my</span><span style="font-weight: bold;">food</span> <span style="font-weight: bold;">plan</span><span style="color: #82C42E;">my</span><span style="font-weight: bold;">food</span> <span style="font-weight: bold;">plan</span><span style="color: #82C42E;">my</span><span style="font-weight: bold;">food</span> </p>
But this e-mail is not sent:
<p> <span style="font-weight: bold;">plan<span style="color: #82C42E;">my</span>food</span> <span style="font-weight: bold;">plan<span style="color: #82C42E;">my</span>food</span> <span style="font-weight: bold;">plan<span style="color: #82C42E;">my</span>food</span> </p>
The only difference is that the second e-mail contains nested spans. There are 3 occurrences, but the nesting is never more than 2 deep - one span inside another.
This is not a client rendering problem - the e-mail is never received.
And this e-mail is sent - the only difference is that this e-mail has only two occurrences of nested spans:
<p> <span style="font-weight: bold;">plan<span style="color: #82C42E;">my</span>food</span> <span style="font-weight: bold;">plan<span style="color: #82C42E;">my</span>food</span> </p>
I am using the Windows Server 2008 SMTP Server on my DotNetNuke server as the SMTP server for sending the e-mails. My client is Outlook 2010.
