Activation system
(Canada)
Here is a big suggestion on your process:
Actually it takes 19 steps to get one of your module:
Buy at snowcovered,
Pass throught paypal
Wait snowcovered email
Download your zip
Read the pdf
Go on your site
use the remenber password function once I see that I can't login
Receive the password
Login again
Then I have to fill that form far adress again
Then go to download again
Get the module
Install it
Request activation key
look at my email
See that it failed
Wait news from you guys
It's not resolved yet but I guess 1 day I will receive the activationAnd again activate the module
Finally I will be able to set it up for my customer.
I should charge you guys for this, it take off all the charm of your professionnal look.
My time is more precious then your licensing paranoia since im the customer.
So now my suggestion:
make it more simple and cut 2/3 of the steps please it's against marketing.
Before I buy from you guys again I will think If I have time for that process.

Thank you for the rapid resolution.
I will try the product and come back with some comment.
For now I like the way you resolve my problem, but I still think that the activation is to much steps, download from snowcovered and then another download from your site. I suggest to think about a shorter way.
For the rest I think you are a nice team who look to satisfy there customer. Sorry if there are a lot of mystake, english is not my natural language.
I wish you guys a good week-end

Re: Activation system
(Australia)
For those reading, we find that on a very few occasions, the web notification method from Snowcovered does not work, and the license files is not created.
We contact the user and advised that had the notification worked like it should and does 99% of the time, then all he would have had to do would be to enter his email address into the activation of the module and submit. The module would then auto activate.
We have around 8000 activated modules with many users really enjoying the bulk purchase and auto activation of the modules. We also buy modules from online developers, and have found that the majority of developers with any sort of security in their module have a manual activation process that can take up to 48 hours.
Our modules work 100% in trial mode.
The activation screen is Administrator visible only
In the vast majority of activations, the process is 100% automated and immediate
It is also worth noting from a developers point of view. Before we had licenses we enabled some tracking to see where our modules were being abused. We found that around 95% of instillations were not licenses and were being abused. Licensing is absolutely necessary to run a software business.
