Skinning Issue
(Trinidad and Tobago)
Hi,
The AnnounceIT module has been imtegrated successfully on the website my associate and I are currently building.
The page the module is located on has the correct skin. However of I were to click on an item from the General Listing, the page that I'm am sent to does not apply the correct skin. The same thing happens when I click on a category to view the items.
To be more accurate - the skin being used has three columns, with the the middle column being used to display the AnnounceIT module. When navigating to a category or to read more on an news item ... the skin is only shown with the middle column. The left and right columns have disappeared. I need to fix this because I need to have all pages on the website with the same "look and feel".
Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Re: Skinning Issue

This causes some people problems. We are kind of between a rock and a hard place on this.
DNN recommend that subset pages load using the DNN site admin skin. As we have created this module in line with DNN guidelines, this is why it works this way.
To fix the problem, make the ADMIN skin the same as the one you want to use on that page. Problem will be fixed.
If you have a real issue with this method, please take it up in the DNN forums, we only follow guidelines, not create them.

Also, if you browse to
http://www.interactivewebs.com.au/announceit/Help/tabid/159/language/en-AU/Default.aspx
you will find a tutorial on modifying the Look and Feel of categories. Please take a look at that demo.
Also more to your issue, goto the module's edit menu. Look for Announcement Configuration and untick the option under Skin / Container options. This will then display some options where you can select a desired skin / container for your detail pages.
