Advance Login Configuration Issues
(United States)
I'm using DNN 5.6.1 with Advanced Login 45.2.23. I'm trying to set up the advance login configuration. When I click the DNN Register link it goes to the advance login page but when I click the DNN login link it goes to the old DNN login page. Do I need to disable the old DNN page? Also, in order to register do users have to click the DNN register link and then click the Advance Login register link on that page to register. This makes them have to click register twice. DNN 5.6.1 has split the registartion page from the profile page. Does advance login have it's own profile module or should I leave that entry as None Specified and use the old DNN page?

Re: Advance Login Configuration Issues

First up, the login page and the register page are configured in the ADMIN / SITE SETTINGS page of your DNN website. Both register and login have separate configurations in later DNN versions. So change the page there. Remember too that the new page with the Advanced Login needs a reference version of the DNN login module on the page (admin only view) to work. Otherwise it defaults to the old DNN login.
This is a DNN feature and is covered in the manual. We cannot control that unfortunately.
We have a way to call on the register page when using the module, this too is covered in the module manual. It is hard though to make the module work this way from a skin. We have some new solutions we have built that we are documenting for skin controls. We should release a new download package soon with the updated manual and details about how to use this.
