Purchasing Source Code?
(United States)
We're very interested in using the advanced login and registration on our site. However we have a number of site specific enhancements (and some generic ones) that we would need to make for it to work for our specific onboarding process as well as getting it to interact with other modules on our site (Active Social groups for example).
So, we are wondering if you sell the source version of this module.

Typically we just say no. But the reality is that we sell source code, but at a price that reflects the work and energy gone into the module. This module would attract a price of $5000 for the source code.
If that price offends, then please accept the normal answer of NO.

Than you for the quick and honest response. As a developer myself I can appreciate the value of the work. That said, typically we would modify purchased source if we feel like it would save us a significant amount of time & money developing the base features and then quickly and inexpensively adding the additional [minor] features we needed. We also have to deal with a a DNN market perception of what source code per feature set costs based on many of the other modules we've purchased source for as well.
Just as a point of reference; at $75/hour we would need to save a lot more more than the week and a half of dev time that same $5000 would buy. Typically we're looking to save between 5K and 10X in dev time using modules with source. That would mean the purchase of source for this module would need to save us at least 8 weeks of dev time. So while I have no doubt the effort that's gone into this module my initial reaction is that it would be pretty hard to justify that price with our site owners given the features vs purchase price. More likely they will just ask us to develop the functionality completely.
PS - Please take this information in the spirit in which it's meant. We think this is a great module with 90% of the features we need and the single site license if VERY inexpensive. I just wanted to give you some perspective on how a corporate user of DNN thinks about source code purchases.

Thanks for the points.
Another option is that we can look to do the custom dev work for you and if useful include the features in the module. This can work out low price for you and we keep a happy customer.
What are the features you need in the 10%
