Customize error message on login form
(Ireland)
Hi,
I've configured an advanced login module to show Email Address and Password fields for login, however I'm having difficulty getting prompts to show if the user doesn't enter either of these values - i.e. I'd like to make both these fields mandatory.
If I don't enter an Email Address value and click the Login button a star (i.e. *) is displayed next to the text box. Is it possible to replace this with a message like 'Please enter a valid email or username value'. Also, nothing gets displayed next to the Password textbox if I don't enter a value - it just submits the form and an invalid login message is displayed. Is there a way of prompting the user to enter a Password value?
I tried checking/unchecking the
'Enable Optional Data Confirmation' chcekbox under 'Basic Settings' but it didn't make a difference. (I set up a second module and configured it as a registration form and by default it prompts me to enter values if I omit them).
Thanks

Re: Customize error message on login form

This can be done using the custom script settings.
})
function custom_validate_login(){
/*
add any custom login form validation logic here,
return true if pass validation
*/
return true;
}
We can make this change for you, but we will need to charge you something to do this, as it is a custom requirement that can be made by you.
Please contact us with out contact us page if you need more assistance.
