Advanced Login and multiple domains
(Czech Republic)
Hello I have a single portal with 2 languages and unfortunately I had to set them apart by TLD. www.mydomain.cz for Czech and www.domain.sk for Slovak ... But this raised 2 problems for me.
1) AL license seems to be bound to domain ... Its very same portal with same content, just localized. Would it be possible to convert domain license to a portal license instead, or what are my options?
2) Authentication isn't shared across domains, would it be possible with AL or some other "trick" to implement Single-Sign-On?
Thanks for answers.

Potentially it would be possible, if the second portal is a child. In other words, if they exist on the same primary portal.
Remember it is possible to export site and content, and import it as a child portal.
That being said, DNN allows you to run multiple languages in one site. There is not need to run two domain and site.

This example shows both French and English in one site. When you click the change language button you remain in the same single site.

I should clarify, its requirement that language is separated by tld. There are several reasons why company wants this. Mainly that company is using ccTLD thus it would be quite confusing for people who come from different country. I for one would never expect to be presented with relevant content form say .ru or .es websites.
So I've set up single portal and enabled content localization. Added alises domain.cz and domain.eu (was previous SK, but since its meant to be for all of european union we changed it). And set DNN using 3rd party module to display language(content) based on alias.
However when switching between the languages (thus tlds) there is change in authentication. I have to login/logout for both separately which is not just hassle but also security risk for users. So I'd like to know if AL can or possibly could be made to authenticate on both domains with single login/logout. Otherwise I'd have to try something like this

You still did not mention clearly if your sites are child sites, or are they actually different instances?
If they are all running as child sites on the single install of DNN. Then our module will handle the single SSO sign on. If not, then our module will not do this.
Moving from separate instances to one, as child portals is an easy task and will be a good solution.

Both are single same install, single same portal and share same user data so neither child nor different instances, just same. They just don't share authentication cookie because of different domains.

Using the later versions of DNN. 6.1 and later I believe, but certainly DNN 6.2 this should be handled fine with our module.
