5.7.1 Error
(United States)
Hi, I just loaded the Feedback Designer and had emails being processed correctly, until someone entered a hotmail account for thier email. I received a 5.7.1 error MAilbox name not allowed. Sorry, your email was administratively denied.
I registered a new account in dnn and had no errors. It only seems to happen in the feeback designer. I have tested multiple other domains and successfully sent emails when entering them into my form.
I guess you figured out by now that aol failed also (go figure). I have not had any other domains fail, and the dnn register and newsletter functions both work to process those email addresses.
Any help you can give me on this would be greatly appreciated. My project is on hold until I figure this out. I did work around the lack of redirect in the feedback, but can't work around this one.
Thanks for your fast response,
Jim

This one is really odd! I say that due to the feedback designer module fails for you when it uses the same dnn core sending of mail as the other dnn areas do.
Obviously this issue is a combination of server configuration & module.
If you have suggestions as to why hotmail fails, please contribute or if you'd like us to flesh this one out futher, development time must be taken into account and costing applied, if so then please fill in our contact form requesting this.

This one turns out to be an easy one. Smacks of Go Daddy!
Anyone choosing a host, should be aware that everytime we have something strange pop up with DNN sites and modules, the answer is always "Go Daddy".
The security settings, the strange things like this post, all Go Daddy...
I don't even know if this client is on a Go Daddy server, but I would guess almost anything they are.
The details of this exact problem are described here.

Beware of Go Daddy for DNN hosting!

So the solution, change the SMTP server settings to one that you have unrestricted permissions on.
