Blank E-Mails
(United States)
Good day,
Bulk Mail Module Version: 62.07.53
DNN Version: 6.02.08
The bulk mail module is amazing and has worked really well for us! However, some of our users are receiving blank e-mails when we use Word documents. We are using our own SMTP server, and most people receive the e-mail perfectly. It isn't an issue of clicking "Show images," the e-mail contains no content at all.
One of our site users has two profiles (with different e-mail addresses) and one profile received the e-mail perfectly and the other profile received a blank e-mail. So it doesn't appear to be a computer or virus protection issue. They have also added the sender to the safe sender's list.
Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Blank E-Mails
(Australia)
Word Documents end up sending as MHTML, and while widely supported, it is not 100% supported by all mail servers / mail client combinations.
We find most popular services handle them well, but old "fuddy duddy" type institutions like banks etc, will often have a combination of software on their servers and mail clients that cannot render MHTML.
Strictly speaking, this is the fault of Microsoft for venturing out in a single file format that is not accepted as a world standard. End result is... if you have clients that have troubles, you will need to send SIMPLE html, as anything else could be unsupported for different reasons.
