Uploading MHTML/Word doc - "Unable to connect to backend."
(United States)
Hi there,
I'm currently trialing Bulk Emailer and encountered this issue when trying to browse for an MHTML/Word file. The popup (which appears to be using ElFinder) gives me a dialog box that says "Unable to connect to backend" immediately after loading - from there, I'm unable to do anything. I'm using version 62.07.04 of Bulk Emailer and version 07.00.05 of DNN. Any idea what could be happening? From some Googling, I found this thread,
http://drupal.org/node/1787812#commen...
, which suggests getting the latest version of the ElFinder code, but that's in PHP, the source language of ElFinder.
Thanks,
Francis

Have you enabled .doc in your host settings for upload?

Yes, it should be enabled.
You're referring to host => host settings => other settings => allowable file extensions, correct? I have the following extensions in there:
swf,jpg,jpeg,jpe,gif,bmp,png,doc,docx,xls,xlsx,js,ppt,pptx,pdf,txt,xml,xsl,xsd,css,zip,template,htmtemplate,ico,avi,mpg,mpeg,mp3,wmv,mov,wav,mht,mhtml,csv

Please lodge a support ticket, providing.
1. A URL
2. Host Login details

That wouldn't be possible, since we're using this for our company intranet.
In any case, I've figured out the issue and resolved it. It turns out our install of DNN was missing the assembly for MVC, which ElFinder uses. I was able to find the error message in the Portal's logs.
To fix it, I did a bin deployment of MVC to DNN. For anybody who encounters the same issue, you can follow this guide:

Thanks for the update on the information. This would have taken us some time to resolve otherwise.
