Default Value Showing From SQL/Linked List
(United Kingdom)
We have created a list from a set of tables that has details of people that are not in the DNN user table. The columns include FirstName and Last Name, but these do not seem to be picked up when using the tokens in the emails. All we get is default value showing.
Is there a way we can get these details to show in the emails when the information does not come from the core DNN Users table?
We have Email List Match ticked.

Re: Default Value Showing From SQL/Linked List

Hi,
It seems the user need to write the tokens as [firstname] [lastname] [email] for Firstname, Lastname and Email field. Please note, all these tokens need to be lowercase. I assume he already created a linked list. If not, please refer to the following comments and attached screenshot to create a linked list for the table.
"Enter the SQL script that will be used to retrieve the email list.
The script must return the following fields: email, username, firstname, lastname.
For example: SELECT email, username, firstname, lastname, createdon from tblEmail. Please note, createdon need to be a datetime field and is optional. If not provided, the module will use the current datetime as the createdon date"

We have been using the token [FirstName:default value]. As these details are not coming from the core DNN Usertable, there is no username column. Is that an issue? Or can we just have columns email, firstname, lastname, phone?
If we have FirstName as the column in the query, should we use [FirstName] as the token, or should we change the column to firstname and use [firstname] as the token.
