Module permission exception error
(United States)
I installed the trial module and this is what I get:
Error: PostcardManager is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Security.Permissions.SecurityPermission, mscorlib, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=****' failed. ---> System.Security.SecurityException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Security.Permissions.SecurityPermission, mscorlib, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=****' failed. at iwebs.Modules.PostcardManager.ViewPostcardManager.UpgradeTo450502() at iwebs.Modules.PostcardManager.ViewPostcardManager.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) The action that failed was: LinkDemand The type of the first permission that failed was: System.Security.Permissions.SecurityPermission The Zone of the assembly that failed was: MyComputer --- End of inner exception stack trace ---
(I deleted the publickey tokens in this example)
I am able to go in and use the manager when I click on manage module configuration. So the underlying management of the module works. This is the version I used: PostcardManager 45.05.14 PA.

This is caused be a medium trus issue on your server during an upgrade.
The easy solution is to delete the module form DNN and reinstall. But you will loose your existing defined postcards.
If you have a lot, or the module is used in a lot of pages etc. Contact us via our contact us from. Make reference to this post, and provide host login details. We can hand craft a sript to fix this upgrade issue.
Note, that we are releasing a new version of the module to get around this, but it will not help you as your module in this state is not running correctly.
