Form Items Look & Feel
(United Kingdom)
Hi, Can anyone tell me how to individually specify the Look and Feel of Form Items? When I try to amend the look and feel I am presented with the standard - Itemdescription/Item/Reqitem template and no matter how I try to duplicate or amend the items I always get an error. If I add a new line and replace ITEM with say "LABEL" and leave the generic the error says I have conflicts, and if I try to list all the ITEM types that I can see in the Add New Item drop down, the error says I haven't specified all of them. I am new user of this application and any advices would be welcome. thanks in advance for your time.

Hello Justine.
To be clear, ITEM is a token that is to be referenced. If the token does not exist then you wont be able to render that section of the page.
A token is a small piece of text that when the page is browsed to, is replaced with another piece of content.
The idea is that you have tokens that get replaced with actual items. Adding a new token ie LABEL wont do anything because the token LABEL has not been wired up in the code to do anything.
If what you are after is simply changing fonts or some colours etc... best use the editor or not modify too much what comes out of the box.
If i have completely misunderstood your question please let me know. What exactly are you trying to achieve with the look and feel section?

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the speedy response. What I am trying to do is specify a different Look and Feel for my "Label" form items only. Currently I can modify the Look and Feel of all form items, but I cannot find a way to have my Labels in bold say, but my Text Box descriptions in regular text. I want to use the Rich Text Editor in such a way that I can distinguish my Labels in bold text visually when viewing the questionaire. Do you know if it is possible to do this, and if it is possible, can you provide me with some instructions?

Well if you can see the html for something like <td width="250">[ITEMNAME]</td>
Instead wrap it in bold tags <td width="250"><b>[ITEMNAME]</b></td>

Hi Steve. Thanks for your patience and the instructions. Unfortunately doing as you've instructed changes the text in all the form item other than the Lables into bold. Is there anyway just to format the text of a Label, and not the other form items?

ok take 2 ;)
perhaps try for your label's name adding <b> and </b> tags around it in the textbox for editing form items.
it may render the html.
