Email from submitter rather than site
(United States)
I just purchased Feedback Designer for a client and am getting it configured on thier site. In testing, I have found two issues.
1) I have information int he autoresponder field and am not getting an autoresponse sent.
2) This one is fairly major for me. I noticed that when the form is submited and the email is received by the difined receiver(s), the email is showing as originating from the email address of the person who submitted the request rather than from the site admin. I can see this causing major issues with spam filters as well as some shared hosting solutions. Security and spam conscious hosts are beginning to crack down on this and requiring that email from forms be sent from a valid email address on their system, using SMTP Authentication. I can see this module becoming unusable when hosts begin enforcing this more strengently.
I would suggest adding an option that will define who the email is coming from along with the SMTP authentication password, mail server settings. This will allow for the use of a domain other than the host domain.

1. Perhaps the issue raised in 2 contributes to this, not sure.
2. Your point is valid with the crackdown on spam. Currently the module brings in the mail settings from the Host Settings. So if you configure authentication there, you'll be right.
One of the big issues here is usability for the end user in the office. If say an office admin receives a submitted form, it will take serious training and unlearning for them to not click that reply button, but instead click copy and paste the correct email in there to reply. Hence the current setup.
Perhaps in the future making this a little clearer may prove flexible and helpful. In the meantime it will have to do. That being said, if you need the feature quick, we are happy to quote you on custom work.
