Opt-Module Major Malfunction / CSS form code skews page
(United States)
I'm having terrible problems with the opt-in registration form. I tried updating to the latest release and the problem still exists. That is, it is not sending out the confirmation e-mail to subscribers of my newsletter. Also the Captach Code feature doesn't work, returns consistent error of incorrect code, when it is correct. In addition, the form is causing my entire Web page to skew out of alignment. Futhermore, I am no longer getting any sort of administrator notices or stats on email sends that I used to receive. I have updated to your very latest Bulk Mailer and Opt-In codes and I'm running DNN 6.2.7 Help! Captaca Code error: AssemblyVersion: 6.2.7 PortalID: -1 PortalName: UserID: -1 UserName: ActiveTabID: -1 ActiveTabName: RawURL: /DesktopModules/Code5Systems_FormMaster/ImageChallenge.captcha.aspx? Please ignore the Captcha Code error embedded in the message. That was for another module. However, you Catpcha Code is still malfunctioning for the Opt-in module.

Best ensure you are using the latest version.
Then lodge a support ticket explaining what is wrong. Chances are you have something conflicting with your DNN capcha if you have 2 modules failing.

Regards the email messages not going. This sounds like your SMTP server in the site DNN settings does not have permissions to send to external users.

Not at all. That's first thing I checked. The SMTP server works fine or is configure correctly as I just sent out a newsletter yesterday and recipient received it.

BTW, this isn't a problem of sending newsletters out. That's fine.. It's a problem with the system messages that both Bulk Mailer and Opt-in modules sends out. I noticed another customer of yours had the same problem and you said it would be fixed in the next release, but obviously it wasn't.

Is Bulk Emailer configured to use SMTP servers in the SMTP setup in the module?

Okay, my bad! I apologize. We did a restore the other night and the password from SMTP server had been restored to the old one. However, still have a problem with CSS layout for the form. Can you help?

Glad you worked out the SMTP issue. Kind of knew it must be that.
With the Opt-in Module. Make sure you have the latest build, if you still have problems, use the support link on the left to lodge a support ticket.
