subscribe how?
(Netherlands)
What I am missing in this module is a subscribe function. Or am I missing something?? Ideally, it would be nice if a web visitor could subscribe (by means of verified opt in) and be added to a list.

Hi Schotman,
I use the Register page in the portal as a subscribe function, this is what I want from my visitors. Cheers Colin

We alos intended for users to subscribe to the website for opting into bulk email. That being said, we are investigating what other options design for this option.
What we are considering is this.
1. We have a range of module that integrate MS CRM 4.0 into DotNetNuke. Because of this, we are probably going to introduce an opt into a CRM marketing list option.
2. The option of opting into a created custom list in CRM. Prhaps a module that allows the admin to expose selected lists with a description.
Currently it would be easy to use our Feedback Designer to captuer email addresses into a list in a database, and exprot that list to .csv. (This is all part of Feedback Designer) then take the .csv file and import that to a Bulk Emailer custom list.
If anyone has other thoughts, we would love to here?

There is a module on snowcovered for opt in. It only requires the visitor to enter their name and email address. It then automatically creates a user for the site using their email as the username and an automatically generated password. However this doesn't cover the confirmed opt in. I have visited a few DNN sites that after registering they send an automated message to the email address you use and have a link that you must click to verify your registration. I haven't figured out how they do this but the combination between the two of these items would be a very cool module/add on for the Bulk Emailer. If I knew how to make it I would.

We expect to have something like this out by end of November. Stay tuned.

Later than expected, but we have a release of an optin module being relased this weekend as part of the same package.
