Editing a contact
(United States)
Hi, when editing a contact get 'this email exists' for most of the contacts, but not all. I imported some contacts with only the email address (or rather only the email address got imported) and wanted to edit them.
On a different note: there is no way to add an empty list with no datasource.
Thank you
Filipp

The list import feature and subsequently editing of lists does not allow email duplication. Being that the module does not allow email duplication. This means that if Jill and Jack use the same "family" email address, they will only get one bulk email from you.
Some see that as a negative, most people love the de-duplication on import, and subsequent de-duplication that the module automatically does if you select multiple lists with redundant email addresses in each.

Thank you for a very quick response!
I agree with the duplicate filtering functionality. The strange thing about the current behavior is that I am editing an existing entry, that was just imported and hence already passed through the filter. So my feeling on this one is that if an entry in the list was created, I should be able to update the first and last name even if it is a duplicate. (Although I doubt that these contacts are duplicates because I just imported them, and to my knowledge they are not present in other lists)
Thank you
Filipp

Agree - I thought you were saying that you were not able to change email address to something already existing. We will check it out.
